as by night. Starting rates for a single are about 1000 roubles ($35).

give Karpova 10 as its address and (4842) 569527/531097 as its telephone
numbers. Rooms from 400 to 2000 roubles ($15 - 75).

Kaluga, Kirova 1,

class" room said to be very good. Stumbled on a few reports of a
Soviet-style service.

Tashir, Voronina
4, (4842) 591684. Rooms in the 2000-3000 range ($75-100US). The hotel is
part of an entertainment complex.
Ugra,
Village of Sosnovy Bor (Pine Forest), 9. Tel. (4842) 755555. On the Moscow
to Kiev highway, the nearest hotel if you are travelling to
Babynino / Svetlitsy. The cheapest
and most decent of all the hotels on this list BUT IS NOT IN KALUGA ITSELF.
Club na Dvoryanskoy
("Club on the Noble Street"), Suvorova 29, (4842) 549296. Calls itself an
"entertainment hotel". Business-class rooms are $50 but most are in the $100
range.
Baden-Baden,
Plekhanova 4A, (4842) 741642. Average price range, ie. $35-90 for a decent
room.

the time of last update I was not able to find any private accommodation
offers in Kaluga. If the situation is anything like in
Tver, then private
apartments should be available for $20-25/night.
